My background is analytical and technical. I studied mathematics, worked for many years in technology, GIS, data systems, and analytics, and spent decades observing Ethiopia\u2019s and Tigray\u2019s political, social, and developmental trajectory from both close proximity and independent distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last 35 years, I have accumulated experiences, observations, discussions, and reflections shaped by direct engagement with institutions, professionals, political actors, and ordinary people across different periods of Ethiopian history. Much of what I write today comes from that lived experience and long-term observation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I chose, deliberately, never to become a member of any political organization. At the same time, I have never been disconnected from the realities shaping Tigray and Ethiopia. My position has always been that of an independent professional who believes ideas, analysis, and honest reflection matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TigrayInsights.net emerged from that belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the major changes of our time is that technology now allows people outside traditional political or academic institutions to organize and communicate their ideas more clearly. Artificial intelligence is part of that transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I use AI as a tool to help structure, refine, organize, and clarify my thoughts. I do not use it to manufacture beliefs I do not hold or experiences I have not lived. The ideas, arguments, concerns, and perspectives are mine. AI helps me present them in a more coherent and accessible way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This distinction matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A large language model can assist with language, structure, flow, and organization. But meaningful analysis still depends on the quality of the human thinking, lived experience, historical understanding, and intent behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe many knowledgeable people, especially those with valuable lived experience but without formal writing backgrounds, should not hesitate to use modern tools responsibly to communicate their ideas more effectively. Used properly, these technologies can help preserve memory, improve public understanding, and contribute to more informed discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time when social media increasingly rewards short attention spans, emotional reactions, and fragmented narratives, I believe deeper reflection and long-form analysis remain necessary, especially for younger generations trying to understand the complex history and political realities that shaped the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My goal is not to claim absolute truth, nor to speak as the sole authority on Tigray or Ethiopia.
